The Rob & Kat Mykals were discussing the top 10 phobias and we asked our Facebook friends what made them the most fearful. Here's what they had to say.

The Rob:

I have always been pretty open about the things that I'm afraid of. Something about spiders makes my heart race even though I know I'm probably not in any real danger. I also don't like snakes, which is additionally scary because (unlike something like, say, an alligator) I could actually encounter a snake. What they do the moments before they devour a mouse is terrifying. The supreme fear for me (and I believe for everybody whether they admit it or not) is death. If nobody is afraid of dying, why is everybody trying so hard to stay alive. Also, examine your other fears... Are they not terrifying because ultimately they could result in your death??

Kat:

Unlike Rob, I'm not afraid of snakes or spiders and I'm not afraid of death. I like to think of myself as pretty fearless, but if I get real honest, there is one thing that I am truly afraid of:

Atychiphobia - I fear failure. I am afraid of failing in my career, as an adult, and as a mom. I do a pretty good job of keeping this one in check, but it is always there.

Glossophobia - I also am afraid of public speaking which is ironic considering what I do for a living, but I get incredibly uncomfortable speaking in front of a large group of people. All the physiological responses of distress are there - sweaty pits, clammy hands, fidgety - the whole nine yards.

Facebook:

The most common phobia among American is the fear of HEIGHTS. The Rob has a fear of SPIDERS. Kat says she's afraid of PUBLIC SPEAKING. What is one of your biggest phobias?
