Join WHS for their annual Friendsgiving event! From November 21st to November 26th. You can foster a pup and break them out for Thanksgiving! This also gives the shelter staff a much-deserved break to spend time with their own families.

If you are like me and can't bring any more live animals into your home, you can adopt a furry friend this weekend that requires zero maintenance and still help out the live pets at Warrick Humane Society.

Going to a party is fun but going to a paw-ty with your four-legged bestie is even better. Warrick Humane Society has teamed up with Jennings Street Public House and Myriad Brewing Company in Newburgh.

Warrick Humane Society in Newburgh currently has three huskies that are up for adoption.

Hubba hubba! Need a Valentine? Casanova has you covered. He's a one-year-old mastiff mix so he's a big boy. But the staff said he's super squishy and is a lover. With a name like Casanova, did you expect any different? I mean, he already has the puppy dog look all squared away. Casanova is available for pre-adoption. Plus, it's doggie date weekend!

Small dog, people. Where you at? Warrick Humane Society has an adorable little black dog that is looking for a home. She's only 19 pounds and has the cutest smile! She's eight years young and did I say that sweet smile is just melting my heart?

Gemma is our longest resident who has been with us since February 2018, but we still have high hopes that Gemma will find her perfect home.

Remember in Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer when the team lands on the Isle of Misfit Toys? They all just wanted children to love them. And miss Abbey Bominable also wants a family to love her.

For some people, dogs and cats just aren't the right pet. Dogs can be big and barky and need constant attention. Cats can be aloof and you just never know what they are thinking. For some folks, pocket pets are just the right size and Daviess County Animal Care and Control has plenty of them to choose from.

Jake "Cool" is a 3.5-year-old Beagle mix. He weighs 51 pounds, so he is mixed with something larger. Jake loves people but is particular about his dog friends and would do best in a quieter home. Maybe he should stick to little yellow birds!

Sweet Clifford has been at It Takes a Village since March 2022. According to the staff, Clifford is the sweetest dog!
