Remember in Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer when the team lands on the Isle of Misfit Toys? They all just wanted children to love them. And miss Abbey Bominable also wants a family to love her.

Welcome to the 12 Strays of Christmas - we are highlighting some sweet pets in the area who have been at the shelter for a while and desperately want a home for the holidays.

Meet Abbey Bominable

Abbey came to the VHS a few months ago. She's two years old and has a beautiful grey coat. She was found in Owensboro by a lady who takes in strays. Unfortunately, she didn't have the means to care for all the strays that seemed to show up at her door so she brought some of them to VHS.

Abbey has probably not been picked yet because the staff said she's a bit shy. But she's sweet and will warm up to her people. She's friendly and affectionate and will sit all day in your lap if you need someone to pet and love on.

Newburgh Baby’s Array of Facial Expressions Will Crack You Up!

Whenever I see little Miss Alanah Meier's photos come up in my Facebook newsfeed, I can't help but smile. Her array of facial expressions is quite extensive, to say the least. Her mom Kim told me that post colic phase, she's the happiest baby ever.

I think my favorite part of her expressions are her eyes and eyebrows. She looks at you like, "Seriously, what are you doing?" Work it, girl! At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if she showed up meme or a baby model sometime soon.
