Meet the New Townsquare Media Intern, Jess

Hi, I'm Jess Willsey, the new intern here at Townsquare Media Evansville! I'm so excited to be part of the team and to learn about the world of radio, media, and community storytelling. This internship is a great opportunity to grow my skills and be involved in something I'm truly passionate about.

A Little About Me

I’m currently a senior at the University of Evansville, majoring in Sports Communication. I also play Division I softball for the university. I’m originally from Ballwin, Missouri, a suburb just outside of St. Louis.

Even though I’m from the St. Louis area, I’ve always been a big fan of Chicago sports, especially the Cubs, Blackhawks, and Bears. My family is huge on sports, so there’s pretty much always a game on at home, if we aren’t at one. 

Outside of sports, I love spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, and hanging out with my two dogs, Ivy and Louie. I also enjoy traveling and this past summer I got the opportunity to study abroad in England and got to visit nine other countries along the way!

Why I'm Excited

I’m looking forward to learning all about the behind-the-scenes work that goes into radio and digital media, from content creation and production to audience engagement and local storytelling. I’m excited to contribute, learn from everyone, and be part of the Townsquare Media Evansville team!
