Fans of Spongebob Squarepants know that Tom is not just the hilarious mastermind behind everyone's favorite wacky loveable crabby patty chef. He is also an accomplished musician. If you're anything like my son Rollins and me, I know his songs like "Ripped Pants," "The Best Day Ever" and the Spongebob theme song have gotten stuck in your head before! They are so catchy and fun.

You will get the chance to meet Tom and many other actors and artists responsible for your favorite childhood shows, movies, and comics on Saturday, October 7th at the Owensboro Convention Center.  Austin St. John, the original Red Power Ranger, Guy Gilchrist who had a hand in creating Muppet Babies, Judith Hoag, known for her role as April O'Neil in the Ninja Turtle live-action movie, and many more! Tickets for that are available at www.owensborocomiccon.com if you still need to get yours.

Then that night, Spongebob will take the stage! Tom Kenny and the Hi-Seas will be performing on the Kentucky Legends Pier. They are a 12-piece soul band with incredible energy. They play music from favorites like Chuck Berry, Aretha Franklin, and Tom Jones putting together some really fun mash-up surprises to keep the party going. I hope they rock out a couple of Spongebob's greatest hits. Surely they will!

Rollins is going to flip like a crabby patty when I tell him. Honestly, I am just as excited if not more so! If you grew up with Spongebob, or just want to have a blast, you aren't going to want to miss this! The show starts at 8:30 pm, and I feel like it's worth mentioning again that it is FREE and open to the general public. So come on down and "twist the night away" with Tom & The Hi-Seas!

Dave Spencer from The WBKR Afternoon Drive Show got to sit down and chat with him about the heck of a party they'll be throwing downtown.
