This week's Pet of the Week is Tex! Tex is an 11-month-old Heeler mix Warrick Humane Society took in from Hopkins County Animal Control. He’s now one of the longest residents at the Warrick Humane Society, alongside his brother Duke.

At 35 lbs, Tex is a sweet, gentle boy who is up to date on all his vaccines, deworming, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and is microchipped and neutered. When he first arrived, he was a bit shy, but he’s really been opening up in his foster home.

He's such a good boy and making great progress!

He has been making lots of dog friends while being fostered at Singleton's Country Kennel Playcare and SleepRovers. You can stop by their facility during their open hours to meet him. They are located at 753 county road 600 s, Fort Branch, IN, United States, Indiana.

To try to help Tex get adopted, the WHS is offering 20% off his adoption fee! If you are interested, please fill out an adoption application on their website, www.warrickhumanesociety.org/adoption

12 Strays of Christmas 2024

Pet surrenders are at an all-time high, while donations and adoptions have slowed, leaving shelters and humane societies overwhelmed with limited space and tough decisions to make. You can help by adopting, fostering, donating supplies, or simply sharing posts to give these deserving animals a chance at finding their forever homes.
