Watch me go from zero to pathetic in six seconds flat.

It's been 18 full days since a razor has touched my face, and the results so far are just as I expected them to be — pitiful.

For those, like myself, who have agreed to put down the razor for all of November in an effort to raise awareness for "men's cancers", despite the fact that genetics looks directly in they eye and says, "Really?", here are 20 famous beards you can use to draw inspiration from.

Another November has rolled around and Deaconess Hospital has asked me to once again be a part of their annual No Shave November. You can see how well it went the last time.

It was a valiant effort, but when the end of November came, so did my attempt to look like a man.

Surprisingly, it turned out slightly less horrific than I imagined.

So far, my attempt at growing a beard for No Shave November is going according to plan, meaning poorly. I'll admit, there was a moment or two over the past few days where I considered giving up on the whole thing because the results have left me looking like an alcoholic drifter, but then I heard these words from Nick Offerman and my sense of purpose was renewed.

It's week two of my effort to grow a full beard during No Shave November with Deaconess Hospital. So how's it going? As pathetic as I expected.
