It was nice while it lasted. I enjoyed the few weeks we had where I wasn't writing an article about severe weather coming to the tri-state. We will continue to see rain showers today due to a stalled front. And though we might see a thunderstorm today, we have been moved to the "Slight" Risk for severe weather tomorrow and Friday.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK - JUNE 5-7

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the tri-state.

Daily thunderstorm chances exist Thursday through at least Saturday. Small chances may linger through Monday as well. The best chance for strong to severe storms appears to be on Friday, and possibly again on Saturday with damaging winds the greatest concern. Outside of the severe thunderstorm risk, thunderstorms will pose risks of locally heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning.

ISOLATED TORNADOES

They also posted that gusty to damaging winds and an isolated tornado are currently the main threats at this time.

A little higher risk for at least some severe weather exists Friday in the late morning and early afternoon. Damaging wind and a tornado or two would be possible if everything comes together but rain/clouds and the early arrival of the thunderstorms may limit their strength. The front is trending slower to clear and rain chances are increasing for Saturday.

Another meteorological Facebook page stated that the tri-state could see .5 - 5 inches of rain, though nothing has been confirmed from the National Weather Service.

Looks like our chances for going to a horse show this weekend are getting smaller and smaller which would make the third this year. But my plants are loving it!
