Drivers who rely on Highway 41 in Evansville to get them to and from their daily destination will need to plan an alternate route or leave a little earlier as the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will begin lane restrictions down a sizable stretch of the heavily traveled highway so crews and work on repairs to the railroad crossing at the intersection of 41 and Lynch Road.

According to INDOT, restrictions will begin at 8:00 a.m. on the 12th in the southbound lanes from Highway 57 to Highway 66 (Diamond Avenue).

Restrictions will be placed on the passing (left) lane first, before shifting over to the "driving lane" (right). If all goes well, and weather isn't a factor, work is expected to be completed by the end of the day on Tuesday, March 13th.
