Tourist sites for Indianapolis Indiana and Hamilton County have created a new way to generate tourism for Indy and greater Hamilton County for the 2024's Holiday Season. Get in the spirit with the inaugural Holiday Adventure Pass. All you need to know to participate can be found here!

Visit Indy and Visit Hamilton County Holiday Initiative for 2024

These Indiana-based tourism initiatives have come up with a fun and interactive way to get both locals and visitors excited about experiencing some of the best holiday events in Indianapolis and Hamilton County this season. The Holiday Adventure Pass is available now through Christmas Eve, December 24th, 2024.

When you sign up for the pass, you'll earn points by visiting various destinations. To track your visits, just use GPS or a PIN at each participating location. The more places you explore, the more points you'll collect, which can be redeemed for festive prizes like commemorative stickers, ornaments, and cozy beanie hats!

“This partnership allows both destinations to create an enriching holiday experience for residents and visitors,” said Ashley Ledford, marketing and promotions director of Hamilton County Tourism. “From beloved annual traditions to fresh new highlights, each stop celebrates our communities' unique charm and spirit, creating memories that will last well after the holiday season.”

Athenaeum Christkindlmarkt- admission is free to the Christmas market and many events are on schedule within the marketplace. Kwanzaa will be celebrated on December 1st, Krampusnacht is December 7th followed by the Sankt Nikolaus Festival on the 8th, for a full list of events, food vendors, and marketplace vendors head on over to the official website!

The Children's Museum WinterFaire- According to the Children's Museum website the WinterFaire event is "a magical indoor world featuring a festive, carnival-like atmosphere, fun-filled games, loveable critters, and hands-on activities. Play, laugh, and make lifelong memories together in this one-of-a-kind indoor winter experience. Includes labels in English and Spanish." 

Meet with Santa, arriving from the North Pole on November 29th, to have photos made with everyone in the Indianapolis area! Enjoy ski-sliding down the well-known Sunburst Atrium Slide that's been magically transformed into an icy WinterSlide!

Tickets are included with museum membership otherwise for non-members they are $28 for adults and $23 for children (2-17).

Indianapolis Zoo: Christmas at the Zoo-The countdown is on until the annual holiday magic returns to Indy Zoo for 2024!  Indianapolis Zoo has been nominated by USA Today and needs your vote! Head over to the website to vote for your favorite zoo holiday displays! Voting is open now through December 2nd.  Christmas at The Zoo has been taking place for over 50 years and is a beloved tradition for many so it only makes sense that the zoo is a happy participant in the Holiday Adventure Pass.

Nickel Plate Express: Holiday Train-All aboard!! Tickets please, tickets!" Christmas isn't quite Christmas without a train experience of some kind. Whether it's rewatching The Polar Express, Flipping the on switch to a train set doing laps around the tree, or an actual live train ride. There is something magical about locomotives this time of year, whether the destination is the North Pole, Hogwarts, or Noblesville, Indiana. Ticket prices start at $45 for their Reindeer Express route.

Take A Sneak Peak At This Horror-Themed Airbnb Located Inside A Coffee Shop In Indianapolis

There's no word yet on how much it will cost per night but it's a unique and fun concept. Especially since when you wake up you can just walk into the next room and get a gourmet coffee made. It beats having to make your own first thing in the morning.
