Why You Should Date Your Spouse

May is like the second Christmas, there's no time for anything! With school letting out for summer, we're bombarded with end-of-year events, graduations, soccer games, and on top of that, we're trying to get the house ready for summer and do last-minute vacation planning. It's hard to find time to spend with my husband.

But taking time for your significant other is so important. The Institute for Family and Marriage reported that 52% of married couples said they "never" or rarely go out on dates, while 48% have regular date nights (once or twice a month) or more often. That same report found that couples who go on frequent date nights are happier in their marriages and less likely to face divorce. Regular date nights open up communication, allow for more romance, and boost commitment.
