Show your civic pride and be a part of the 'We Are Evansville' video and photo shoot at the Four Freedoms Monument this Saturday at 11:00am.

'We Are Evansville' formed earlier this year by a group of USI students looking to remind the public why Evansville is a great place to live, work, and raise a family after a nationwide poll listed our town as the 8th most miserable in the country.

Saturday's video and photo shoot is an opportunity for the public to show we're proud to call Evansville home by gathering at one of our cities more iconic landmarks, the Four Freedoms Monument.

'We Are Evansville' is asking that anyone interested in participating show up a few minutes before 11:00am for direction and placement of the shoot. They also ask that everyone where bright colors, preferably a 'We Are Evansville' t-shirt like one pictured above. If you don't have one, those shirts will be available for purchase at Saturday's shoot for $5 for sizes child to XL and $7 for 2XL and 3XL. Proceeds will benefit the Evansville Parks Foundation.

In advance of Saturday's shoot, Mayor Winnecke has declared tomorrow (Friday, May 31st ) as We Are Evansville Day and is encouraging everyone to show their support and community pride by wearing your t-shirts and displaying the message at local businesses.
