I had the pleasure of visiting Ninki Japanese Bistro in Newburgh this week. I snapped some photos and thought I'd share my experience with you.

It is no big secret that I am a fan of sushi. If I could, I would probably eat sushi at least 3 or 4 times a week. When the opportunity to try out a new restaurant presented itself, I jumped at the chance! Ninki Japanese Bistro offered a warm and inviting atmosphere. I was immediately caught by the decor of the space. It was just arsty enough with natural wood tones, rather than the usual all black everything that you typically find in every Japanese restaurant.

I tried numerous sushi rolls. All of which were plated and presented beautifully. The Newburgh Lady (above) was served with avocado, cucumber and strawberries. The Red Bull (below, Left) was topped with the most tender filet mingon that was like butter it was so smooth. The Yum Yum Roll (below, Right) was also delicious.

The Angry Ex Girlfriend included cream cheese in the tempura roll and a spicy drizzle that was just warm enough to let you know she was angry but not so hot that it wasn't enjoyable.

Not only does Ninki Japanese Bistro serve sushi, but they also have a wonderful selection of Korean cuisine as well. Of course I had to try their Dol Sot Bimbimbap, a traditional Korean dish served in a hot stone crock. Once you mix it all together, the egg finishes cooking in the crock.

It was a delicious experience and the service was excellent. My only complaint is that I was too full to try dessert! I guess that just means I need to go back soon!!!

Ninki Japanese Bistro is located at 4222 Bell Road in Newburgh, just south of the Lloyd, across from the Marathon station.
