Earlier this year, meteorologists put out their tornado predictions for 2025, and while we knew it was going to be a wild year thanks to La Niña, I don’t think anyone fully grasped just how intense the severe weather would be.We've seen a few massive storms sweep across the US, and more than once, a big red bullseye has been sitting right over the tri-state. And now, we're bracing for another round this weekend.

Earlier this week, I reported on a major spring storm heading our way. Now, the National Weather Service has bumped us up from a Slight Risk to an Enhanced Risk for severe weather, so it’s time to stay alert and be prepared.

The National Weather Service in Paducah posted the following to their Facebook page:

The severe weather threat level has increased for Sunday with all modes of severe weather possible. Late afternoon into the overnight hours Sunday is expected to be the main time period for severe weather; however, this may change over the next day or two. Make sure to check back for forecast updates as we get closer and please use the advanced notice to prepare a safety plan for you and your loved one!
