I went on vacation to Universal Studios in Orlando last week. And I have the pictures to prove it.

Every summer my wife and I try to get our son and daughter (11 and 8, respectively) out of town for a little family vacation. Some trips are closer to home (St. Louis, Cincinnati), while other are a little longer of a haul (Gulf Shores and Myrtle Beach). Normally we all pack into my Ford F-150 and hit the road. This time however, we caved to the kids' demands and took to the air out of Owensboro.

Our trip included a stay at the relatively new Universal Studios Cabana Bay Resort, four day passes to both Universal Studios and Island of Adventure, and a trip to Legoland in Winter Haven, Florida roughly 45 minutes outside Orlando.

Being the good tourist, I made sure to take plenty of pictures so I could share them with you in case you're looking for ideas for your next summer vacation.
