Fans and media alike were disappointed in Rihanna's Met Gala no-show and people were wondering why? Apparenly Ri-Ri was keeping big secret that she was just waiting for the right time to announce to everyone, the launching of her new Paris based fashion line with the world's largest luxury fashion group LVMH (Louis Vuitton, Moet, Hennessey).

Rihanna's FENTY brand (which is also her last name) has had a business partnership with the high end fashion entity LVMH since 2017, but now are creating a new fashion house exclusively for FENTY. This will be the first new house created by LVMH since the launch of the now defunct 'Lacroix' line.

In an interview with the New York Times, Rihanna said,

“Designing a line like this with LVMH is an incredibly special moment for us. Mr. Arnault has given me a unique opportunity to develop a fashion house in the luxury sector, with no artistic limits. I couldn’t imagine a better partner both creatively and business-wise, and I’m ready for the world to see what we have built together.”

In that same interview, Bernard Arnault, the chairman of LVMH, said “Everybody knows Rihanna as a wonderful singer, but through our partnership at Fenty Beauty, I discovered a true entrepreneur, a real C.E.O. and a terrific leader,”.

The new FENTY x LVMH line is set for launch on May 22, so get your pocket books ready!
