Let me start off by saying, I have never smoked, injected, or inhaled an illegal drug of any kind in my life. With that in mind, I can't say with absolute certainty that I wouldn't do what this man in Madison, Indiana did recently when he left a bag of meth in the bathroom of a business, but I'd like to think I wouldn't.

Madison, Indiana Man Arrested After Returning to the Business Where He Left His Meth

According to a Facebook post on the City of Madison Police Department Facebook page, 27-year-old Christian B. Horton walked into the bathroom of an unidentified business and left shortly after that on January 7th. Sometime after that, an employee found a bag "containing methamphetamine" in that same bathroom. How did the police know the meth belonged to Horton? Because later that day, he came back to the business and asked the employees if anyone had found it.

Investigators used surveillance video from the business to identify Horton and his vehicle. The next night, an officer spotted Horton driving and conducted a traffic stop. He placed Christian under arrest for possession of methamphetamine and found more meth on him in the process. He was booked in the Jefferson County Jail on a level 6 felony charge of possession of methamphetamine where he could face up to three years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.

Again, I've never done an illegal drug, but from what I understand, they are not cheap. So, I can understand why Horton went back to get it even though it wasn't the smartest thing to do. But, we're also talking about someone who clearly has a drug abuse problem, so thinking clearly and making smart decisions is probably difficult which is sad.
