Brandon, Missouri was just ranked number 10 out of 15 of the Best Christmas Towns in the US according to TripSavvy. If you've ever been to Branson you know how much of a special place the town is during the summer, but the cold doesn't stop Branson from going all out. They are Christmas light displays, plenty of shopping and entertainment to explore, and overall just a fun place to be for the holidays. But, if you so plan on going to Branson, a must-stop is Silver Dollar City.

For Christmas overload, Branson's Silver Dollar City glows with 6.5 million lights during the holiday season, making parts of the theme park lighter at night than during the day. Park-goers can check out an eight-story musical Christmas tree, live entertainment shows, a holiday light parade led by Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and chow down on a holiday dinner.

Seems like a good place to be. Now I have never been to Branson during the holiday season, but it might be worth the trip one year to check out the town. Heck, it's one of the best in the United States.

Making the top 3 places are Breckenridge, Colorado; Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; and Bardstown, Kentucky. Santa Claus, Indiana makes the list at number 8, and North Pole, Alaska is number 13. One of these years I am going to Santa Claus Indiana, as obsessed as I am with Christmas it's one of those towns I just have to see it at least one time. See all 15 places to visit here.
