This Couple’s Love Story Has a Plot Twist On Their Wedding Day, You Will Never See Coming
He Asked One Question Before Falling in Love and It Involved Roller Coasters
When most people sign up for a dating app they are looking for someone kind, funny, attractive, and compatible. This guy was looking for all of that too, but there was one dealbreaker question he had to ask first.
Do you like roller coasters?

A Love Story That Started Online and Launched at Worlds of Fun
He was from Ohio. She was from Kansas. They matched on eHarmony and before he got too attached he needed to know one very important thing, was she a coaster person? Because he was SUCH a coaster person, he needed someone that matched his energy. She passed the test and the rest is history.
Their first in person meeting was at Worlds of Fun and if that is not the most perfectly on brand first date we have ever heard we do not know what is. Things got even more memorable when he proposed to her on the Magnum XL-200 at Cedar Point. No fancy restaurant. No down on one knee in a park. A 72 mile per hour steel roller coaster. How cool is that?

Eighteen Years and Counting
They got married in 2008 and have been together for 18 years. She came into the relationship with two kids from a previous marriage a daughter and a son who is autistic and together they built a life centered around family, adventure, and a whole lot of coasters.
And they took their love story full circle by getting married on a roller coaster. Because of course they did.

The Man Is Absolutely Dedicated to This Hobby
Let us talk about the numbers for a second because they are truly something else. He has been riding roller coasters since he was four and a half years old. He currently has 540 coaster credits meaning 540 different roller coasters he has ridden. His wife Leslie is right behind him with 337. They count every single one and yes that includes kiddie coasters. And yes they will absolutely borrow someone's child to get on a kiddie coaster if adults are not allowed to ride alone. No shame. A credit is a credit.
And if you think that is dedicated wait until you hear about the time he rode The Voyage at Holiday World 97 times in a single day back in 2015. In one day. 97 times. I like to ride rides, and I've rode several in one day before in the past, but I'm not on Jerry's level. Leslie rode it a few times and then went off to enjoy the rest of the park like a completely reasonable human being before circling back every few hours to ride with him again. That is true love right there.

The Park Treated Them Like Family
When they got married on the coaster the park went all out. Employees were on hand taking photos throughout the entire experience and gave them all to the couple afterwards. He says the park treated them like absolute family and it was one of the greatest times of his life. He tells me he is currently putting together a video for his YouTube channel with all of the footage and photos from the big day.

A Love Built on Loops, Drops, and Showing Up
At the end of the day this is a story about two people who found each other, built a life together, and never stopped doing the thing they love most together. Whether it is riding The Voyage 97 times or borrowing a stranger's kid to get a kiddie coaster credit, these two are living their absolute best life and we are here for every single loop of it. 🎢❤️
