Inaugural Evansville BBQ Fest

If you're a BBQ lover like me, this will surely make your mouth water! The Evansville BBQ Festival, presented by Vectren, a CenterPoint Energy Company, is coming to Downtown Evansville on August 16th and 17th, 2019. You can expect a packed weekend of things to experience, competition level BBQ to taste, BBQ themed food trucks, live bluegrass, country rock bands, family friendly activities, SICE Custom Car & Hot Rod Show with about 100 cars from throughout the region and much more to be announced. WHERE IS THIS?
The BBQ Fest will be located across from the New IU Medical School and between Walnut and Locust Street. Friday night will be a ticketed 21 and older event with live music and BBQ sampling featuring world renowned barbecue champion, Jim Johnson. Tickets will be available soon. Saturday is FREE to the public with live music with barbecue for sale.

WHO & WHY?
EvansvilleEvents.com and Evansville Convention & Visitor’s Bureau is hosting this masters-level barbecue competition, officially sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society. It will attract barbecue professionals from throughout the country, serving up a wide range of barbecue types and flavors to compete for $5000 in prize money. Entry categories to include chicken, pork ribs, pork butt and brisket.

FREE ADMISSION
Yes, the Evansville BBQ Festival includes FREE ADMISSION and runs all day Saturday, August 17th from 11am until 7pm. YOU will need a ticket for Friday's VIP opening ceremony: Bluegrass, BBQ and Brews.
