Fall Festival Fundraiser to Honor Lane Goodwin This Saturday in Henderson Kentucky is Still On
Lane Goodwin may have gotten his angel wings earlier this week, but his legacy lives on. The Goodwin family has started The Thumbs Up for Lane Goodwin Childhood Cancer Foundation, and this Saturday there is a huge fundraiser. It's all taking place at the Henderson County Fairgrounds.
The Fall Festival Fundraiser for Lane kicks off at 12 Noon and runs until 6pm. There will be both a silent and a live auction featuring collectables and memorabilia, as well as inflatables, games, food, & a petting zoo! There is even going to be live music from the Sellouts and Kasper. I happen to have the inside scoop, and I can tell you that you will see Kasper like you've never seen him before! Rather than hosting a balloon launch during the event to honor Lane, the Goodwin family has requested that Team Lane bring gift cards from local retailers. Toys will be purchased and donated to the Vanderbilt Children's Oncology Unit for the kids at Christmas.
Lane's story has brought together so many people. My heart aches for the Goodwin family. I hope they know that they are not alone. Lane and the Goodwin family are forever in our hearts. My family and I will be at Saturday's event. I hope yours will be too.
