Don’t Get Married on These Dates in Evansville
If you're planning on tying the knot this year in Evansville, avoid these dates.
Your wedding. It's supposed to be the best and most magical day of your entire life. However, it takes a lot of planning, stress, and appointments to get it just right...and even then there's usually a few bumps along the way.
While I'm no wedding planner, I do have some advice for you lucky individuals across the Tri-State that are getting married this year.
Here's some dates that you should AVOID when planning your wedding:
Evansville WingFest: February 2, 2019.
Superbride Sunday: February 3, 2019.
Luke Combs concert: February 16, 2019.
Blake Shelton concert AND Mardi Gras on Franklin Street: March 2, 2019.
Mother's Day: May 12, 2019.
Father's Day: June 15, 2019.
Shriner's Fest and Air Show weekend: June 22-23, 2019.
Hydrofest weekend: August 16-18, 2019.
Frog Follies weekend: August 23-25, 2019.
Fall Festival week: October 7-12, 2019.
Thanksgiving weekend: November 28-30, 2019.
The reasoning for avoid these dates are simple - it's going to be chaos across the city. During these weekends, traffic is horrendous, hotels are packed full, and all the good restaurants are booked with reservations. All of these can negatively influence your big day, so it's probably best to avoid them altogether.
