After relating to a recent meme a friend posted on Facebook, we decided to have a chit chat about paper towel usage. How do you feel about the following statement? "I have the paper towel habits of a much wealthier person."

Do you find yourself running through rolls of paper towels like crazy? I would except I make a conscious effort not to. Mainly because of how gosh dang expensive they are! My husband and I were at the grocery this past weekend, and I about croaked after having to stock up on both PT and TP.

Lots of our friends on Facebook are huge paper towels fans, though! Like Lori from Florida, who called us to talk about her love of tossable wipes.

Now, I understand certain messes are so gross, you don't want to have to re-use whatever you've cleaned them up with, but I read that Americans make up HALF of the global paper towel market. "On average, according to the U.S. Census data and Simmons National Consumer Survey (NHCS), some 45.3 million Americans use eight or more rolls of paper towels a month."

That's a LOT. Donna chimed in on our poll, "I use them like I’m a millionaire, I don’t like anything on my hands and I’m constantly getting paper towels, cleaning, wiping you name it I’ll find a use for them. lol"

Folks with animals tend to use them a lot more. Like our friend Michelle. She has a very interesting pet that is messier than most. Listen to her call this morning.

If you think about this way, we are stimulating Kentucky's economy by buying paper towels. Providing job security for local folks at Domtar, Kimberly-Clark, and Georgia-Pacific in Bowling Green, to name a few. Are you obsessed with using paper towels too?

LOOKS: Things You'd Find in Your Grandpa's Garage

Adventures were plentiful in the domain of your family's patriarch who saw no use for rules - unless he was the one making them. From rusty tools to a stack of filthy magazines, Grandpa's garage was a land of mystery and danger.
