Well, it's about as healthy as a cheeseburger can get.

Cheeseburgers are hands down one of my favorite foods. But they are awful for me, so I try my best to stay away from them. But realistically, I can't. So I found a recipe that is much healthier than the original thing, but still tastes just as good. Instead of a typical burger on a bun, I make grilled cheeseburger wraps instead. I still get everything that I love about the burger, and can still fit into my jeans at the end of the day. Its basically a win, win!

All you need for the recipe is:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
  • Salt and pepper for taste
  • Flour Tortillas (I get the 100 calorie ones)
  • shredded cheddar cheese
  • sliced tomatoes
  • yellow mustard

Cook your ground beef and then drain. Add your worcestershire sauce, ketchup, dried onion, and salt and pepper to the meat and let everything simmer for a few minutes. While the mixture is cooking, spread a little bit of your cheese down the center of each of your tortillas. Then add a few spoonfuls of your meat mixture on top of the cheese and tortillas. If you like mustard and tomatoes, then add those in as well, on top of the meat. Roll up your tortillas as if you were making a burrito and then place them on a grill to melt the cheese. (I like to use my little George Foreman, but you can really use anything to get the job done.) Once the cheese is melted and everything is hot, they are ready to serve!

So, there you have it! A simple, healthier version of a cheeseburger. It still isn't the healthiest choice you can make, but its a good step.
