Southern Indiana Restaurants With the Best Free Bread Selection
We may not be able to agree on much these days, but if there is one thing in this world that can bring us all together it's bread. I'll admit that's a bit dramatic, but it's also a bit true. People's culinary tastes are all over the place, but we all love bread - especially FREE bread. The quality of a restaurant's pre-meal bread can be, above many other things, a determining factor for diners.
We asked listeners to name the restaurant with the best free bread, and the list below reflects their feedback. The answers range from chain restaurants to locally owned ones. The cuisine includes comfort food, seafood, pizza, buffets, and more. And the style of bread includes rolls, biscuits, breadsticks, and even loaves.

The restaurants listed below, according to you, serve up the best pre-meal bread in the Southern Indiana area. Do you agree? Who did we leave off?
Texas Roadhouse - rolls
The restaurant mentioned the most was Texas Roadhouse, and it wasn't even close. I think it's safe to say Texas Roadhouse is known more for its rolls than anything else on the menu. And as good as those rolls are, they would be nothing without that delicious cinnamon butter. Yummy!
Logan's Roadhouse - rolls
The rolls from Logan's Roadhouse probably received the second most amount of love, which makes sense considering how similar their rolls are to those at Texas Roadhouse.
Red Lobster - Cheddar Bay Biscuits
The Cheddar Bay Biscuit is perhaps the most perfect self-contained pre-meal bread on this list. Here's what I mean - rolls need butter and breadsticks need cheese or sauce, but the Cheddar Bay Biscuit doesn't need anything except to get in my belly!
Great Harvest Bread Co. - everything!
LongHorn Steakhouse - bread
Comfort by Cross-Eyed Cricket - bread
This is another case of the condiment outshining the dough. Word on the street is that their strawberry butter would taste delicious on anything.
Olive Garden - breadsticks
All I have to say is "salad and breadsticks" and you automatically know I'm talking about Olive Garden.
Fazoli's - breadsticks
As beloved as the Olive Garden breadsticks are, they pale (in my opinion) to the breadsticks at Fazolis. Fast food or not, these breadsticks are some of the best anywhere.
Little Italy - breadsticks
Stop by this cozy Italian restaurant in North Park and try their homemade breadsticks.
Golden Corral - rolls
Silver Bell Restaurant - bread
Sam's Pizzeria - breadsticks
According to our audience, the breadsticks are a hit at Sam's.
Cafe Arazu - bread
Log Inn - bread
So the next time you decide to break bread - literally and figuratively - you have plenty of delicious options for where to do so. Eat well, my friends!
