Angel – The Weekend Binge

Angel (WB, 5 Seasons)

After season 3 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, everyone's favorite vampire with a soul left Sunnydale for the brighter pastures of Los Angeles. Angel took what made Buffy great and mixed in elements of a crime drama. Instead of just fighting the forces of evil, Angel also explores elements of Hollywood and being in a new place.

One of the cool things that Angel does is that it occasionally had crossover episodes with Buffy. This happened more so in the first and second season. These episodes were always really well done and kept you interested in both shows.

What I really liked about Angel was it's ability to explore darker topic than those that were presented on Buffy. The rehabilitation of the Slayer, Faith, and Wesley's ultimate redemption come to mind.

If you really liked Buffy, or just want a supernatural drama that still holds up, Angel is a great choice!
