Okay so first off, let me just tell you that this isn't a sales pitch. It's just me telling you that I got one of these fabulous fabric shavers in my stocking last year and I've used it so much that I think I've just about burned mine up and will be upgrading soon. You might want to get one too or put them in your family's stockings.

What Is a Fabric Shaver?

I'd never even heard of the thing until my bonus daughter gave it to me. It's called a fabric shaver and this handy little device safely shaves off all those annoying fabric balls (or pilling) that accumulate on your clothes.

I use these on my leggings a lot. For some reason, I get a lot of pilling on that stretchy fabric, especially where my thighs rub together.  Yeah, y'all. My thighs rub together and yours do too.

But, my fabric shaver really gets a workout in winter because sweaters are the worst.  But my handy dandy fabric shaver glides right over the top and zaps them right into the lint bin.

What Model Do I Have?

Now, you can use a regular razor but this just works so much better. And it makes your clothes look way newer and you don't have to worry about cutting the fabric or yourself.

I currently have this basic model.

It's cheap and works well. The only thing I don't like is that it only lasts about a year and it's not rechargeable. If you want to plug it in, you need to be pretty close to the outlet. But it did get 4.5 stars on Amazon with 9,550 reviews.

But Does It Work?

Huge difference, right? But where did the shavings go? Into the sin bin - I mean the lint bin.

What Would I Upgrade To?

This guy is in the same price range and has over 50,000 reviews and 4.5 stars.

Now, these fabric shavers go all the way up to over $1,000. I'm thinking they are more industrial but still only get 4.5 stars so my suggestion is to save your money unless you are looking for a laundry service and just get something cheap.
