Songs That Remind us of Graduation!

It's that time of year! Seniors everywhere are graduating. While they may not realize it now, one day when they look back at that time of their life, there will be a certain song or songs that take them down memory lane. What songs remind you of your high school graduation?

I graduated in 2009. The most popular songs that I can think of are T.I.'s 'Whatever You Like' and 'Blame it' from Jamie Fox. We LOVED these songs in High School which is weird because now I can't stand them. They don't necessarily remind me of graduation, they just remind me of my senior year.

Since I graduated in 1997, I think that the songs from my graduation era are the best! You had the dawning of Alternative Rock with really great bands and songs. A few of my favorites songs include Toadies "Possum Kingdom," Sublime "Santeria," & Goo Goo Dolls "Iris." Some of the bands I remember best from high school: Blind Melon, Smashing Pumpkins, Blink 182, Collective Soul, & No Doubt. Definitely the best high school soundtrack!

I loved this conversation we had on the air about songs that reminded us of our high school graduations. I really enjoyed that all three of our graduation years are spaced out, giving us very different examples of what music sounded like while we were graduating.

My high school graduation was in June of 2001, and I remember vividly the big songs on the radio at the time. Whenever I hear the following songs, I am reminded of my high school graduation:
