Evansville Police Chief Billy Bolin encourages his officers to step out of their vehicles from time to time and interact with residents of the neighborhoods they keep watch over. Two of those officers took those words to heart when they stopped to play a little basketball with a few kids on Harlan Avenue.

Since taking over as Chief, Bolin has made it a priority to change the perception of police officers in the city, and moments like this are certainly a simple, and fun way to do that.

Although maybe next time the officers could let the kids get a shot off without swatting it out of the air.
