Brick Bruce Phillips is currently in the Vanderburgh County Detention Center on a $5,000/$50,000 cash/surety bond awaiting a court appearance on two counts of Burglary and two counts of Theft in connection to the recent thefts at the Highland Youth Baseball Club, Mulzer's Crushed Stone, and United Minerals.

The first suspect, Steven Vile, was taken into custody on similar charges last Tuesday, October 8th after authorities served a search warrant on his home. Vile implicated both himself and Phillips after an interview with investigators. Upon arrest, Phillips confessed to being involved in all three crimes. His cooperation led to the recovery of several off-road vehicles taken from the Highland Baseball Club.

The burglary charges are Class C felonies which carry the potential of two to eight years in prison, and up to a $10,000 fine each; while the theft charges are Class D felonies with the potential for as little as six months to as much as three years in prison, and up to a $10,000 fine.
