Going on vacation is basically one of the best things to ever happen during a lifetime.  No responsibilities, wake up when you plan to wake up, do what you want when you want, enjoy all the views, and eat all the delicious food.

The worst part of vacation is waiting for it!

4 weeks beforehand

- FINALLY down to saying weeks til the vacation, no longer "____ months and ____ days"

- You can almost taste it, planning out each step of the vacation is no longer crazy, if you don't start now, you might mess something up!

- Buying sunscreen or clothes is actually good planning, spreading out money before you go instead of buying everything right before you leave or at your destination could put a strain on money.

3 weeks beforehand

- It's not a month away anymore, it's all you can think about.

- You check the website, tips and tricks about your destination, Pinterest all the hot spots, and start to pay attention to your phone countdown on how many days until paradise!

2 weeks beforehand

- You've run out of pictures to repin on Pinterest, clearly everyone on Pinterest knows where you're going, no more tips and tricks are surprising to you anymore, all the advice has already presented itself to you

- You finally get serious about that diet.  Wishing you started sooner is tooooo late.

1 week beforehand

- It's already beginning to be hard on finding motivation to do school or work.  Your computer background is your vacation destination and when you get distracted it's all you can do to call in sick for the rest of the week.

- Packing is legitimately something you should do, even though you've probably been packing already since you're so eager, now is when you need to kick it in gear and pack the essentials.

- Double checking all the hotels, flights, and other plans are perfectly put together.

1 day beforehand

- You're like a kid the night before a field trip.  It's hard to sleep, all you can think about is how excited you are to finally get away from your daily life.

- Now is for real the time when you're actually packing, even though you should have done it last week, and you somehow got wrapped into packing for your significant other, or kids.

- You instantly remember that you forgot to purchase something, and it will put a damper on the trip or really set you back on time now that you have to run out tomorrow morning before you leave.

THE DAY

-Excited has turned to stress.

- Why can't little Jimmy just sit back there and watch TV?

- Something has already gone wrong, nothing can ever go smoothly, even if you've been planning for months.

- ANNNNND you probably forgot something important at home.
