It's been a good five days for Evansville High School Sports. After beating Indianapolis Park Tudor in the Jasper Semistate, the Mater Dei Baseball Team is preparing for the state title game this Saturday. Not to be outdone, the Harrison Warriors Golf Team returned from the state championship tournament as the best team in the state.

I love the game of golf. As frustrating as it can be sometimes (OK, most of the time), it's a great way to spend the day outdoors with friends and/or family. It's even better when it gives you the opportunity to help out a great cause like the Vanderburgh Humane Society.

At 6pm Evansville time on Veterans Day, the Spartans of Michigan State University will take on the Tar Heels of North Carolina in a rematch of the 2009 national championship game. The differences being, there's no national title on the line, and neither team will have the benefit of playing in front of a home crowd or inside a home gym for that matter.
