Spruce Up Your Summer BBQ Season with Alabama White Sauce
If you're like me and like firing up the grill, you should definitely check this out. My friend Patty Millay just shared a recipe for Alabama White Sauce, which she says is guaranteed to "up your summer BBQ game." I'll admit it. Until Patty told me about Alabama White Sauce, I had never heard of it.
I did a quick YouTube search and found this.
Patty is a pro at taking recipes and adding her own twist to them. She certainly did that here. Here's Patty's take on Alabama White Sauce and what inspired her to tackle the recipe.
From Patty:
It's the beginning of Summer and grilling season is fast upon us! I wanted to share this recipe to help kick up the flavor of your grilled proteins! This is great on grilled chicken (and we all need something new for those boneless skinless chicken breasts)! This is a great idea to step up your grill game for Father's Day too!
ALABAMA WHITE SAUCE
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
3 teaspoons water
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
If you are serving to children (or picky adults), just omit the hot sauce. If you don't care for hot sauce you can substitute red pepper flakes.
This will really spruce up your chicken tenderloins. Patty served it up with fresh garden sides!
And, of course, what goes better with a good ole summer BBQ than beer?
