Fall weather is set to return to the WBKR listening later this week.  I don't know about you, but one of my favorite parts of this time of year is taking an entire sleeve of Zesta crackers, crushing them up and pouring them into a bowl of chili.  Yes!  I eat chili with my crackers.

Well, if you're a chili fan too, you may want to check this out.  The Salvation Army Chili Express Mobile Edition is rolling up into Kentucky Wesleyan College and Atmos Energy this Friday.

The event is set to run at both locations from 11:30am to 1:30pm CST on Friday, November 13th.  The event is the official kickoff for the Salvation Army's 2020 Christmas campaign.  Yes!  That's just around the corner and the bells will be ringing in front of your favorite grocery and department stores before you know it.

If you'd like to support those efforts and enjoy some good food in the process, visit KWC during the time frame above.  According to the event's official Facebook page, you can "enjoy a hot bowl of chili, chips and a drink to go from our food truck parked in the softball lot." Plus, due to COVID-19 protocols and best practices, drive-thru service is being implemented for everyone’s safety. Oh, and let's not forget, the chili has been graciously donated by Big Dipper!

The suggested donation is $5 per person and, as mentioned above,  all funds go toward the Salvation Army's Christmas efforts.
If you'd like more information about the Salvation Army's Chili Express Mobile Edition, you can check out the official event page.
Kentucky Wesleyan College is located at 3000 Frederica Street in Owensboro . . . right across from the WBKR studios.  Atmos is located at 3275 Highland Pointe.
