Gather up your cardboard, plastic, paper, etc. and drop it off at Evansville Day School this Saturday during Recycling Day hosted by the Vanderburgh County Solid Waste Management District.

Material can be dropped off anytime between 8:00 a.m. and noon, and can include the following items:

  • Aluminum Cans
  • Cardboard
  • Junk Mail
  • Catalogs and Magazines
  • Metal Food Cans
  • Newspaper
  • Glass Containers
  • #1 - 7 Plastic Container (check bottom of container for number)

The Solid Waste Management District asks all material is clean and sorted before you drop it off.

Styrofoam and plastic bags such as shopping bags from recent grocery trips will not be accepted.

Saturday also marks the final day of the year you'll be able to drop of old electronics such as phones, computers, televisions, etc. Those items can be dropped off at C & I Electronics at 1700 North Lafayette Avenue (behind Crawfood Door) between 8:00 a.m. and Noon.
