The 151st Kentucky Derby is just a couple of weeks away. The most exciting two minutes in sports that is celebrated for months before. Derby fashion shows, fundraisers, and incredible parties, as a native Kentuckian, I can't help but love it all.

I always look forward to when the National Anthem performer is announced. Sometimes, it's a singer from the Bluegrass state. Sometimes it's a major superstar. Here are some of the folks who have taken on this job in the past.

Carly Pearce (2023)

Tori Kelly (2021)

Jennifer Nettles (2019)

Harry Connick, Jr. (2017)

Famous Kentuckians Who Have Sung the Anthem at the Kentucky Derby

Wynonna Judd, Carly Pearce, and Kevin Olusola are all Kentuckians, which I think definitely adds a special element to the performance.
