Hey, What's Up

Hi, I'm Gavin, a new intern at Townsquare Media Evansville. Speaking of Evansville, I've lived here my whole life, I'll leave that up to you if that's good or not. I'm pretty excited to be here, and while I'm supposed to tell you what I'm excited to do. You know, as my introduction. There really isn't anything I'm not excited for. Obviously, this is my first article, I've also made my first video. At some point, I'll take my first photo for this internship. Riveting, I know, but I look forward to it.

What Should You Expect from Me?

No clue. I mean to say that I'm unaware of the responsibilities ahead would be a lie. I knew for the most part, somewhat, not entirely, but a decent bit of what I would need to do. So, you can expect me to write some articles, film some videos, edit those videos, struggle to remember when a comma is needed, and much more. However, I'm gonna have to feel this out as I go, and everyone else has to go along with it. No matter what though, I promise to try and be entertaining. If that ends in a spectacular mistake, so be it. I can always learn from those.

Just Some Fun Titbits

I thought I should share just some fun facts with all of you, so you can get to know me better.

  • I have a Great Dane and Black Lab mix named Jack. He's huge and nine-years-old but I taught him how to spin about a week ago. Which was cool at first but now every time I try to give him a treat, he spins seven or eight times and completely forgot the word for sit. So, you can teach an old dog new tricks, it just sorta replaces older info. So, proceed at your own risk.

  • My favorite animals are fruit bats, they're also called mega bats, just found that out. I love them because they have the face of a dog, wings, don't drink blood, and they are upside-down about half the time. What's not cute about that?
  • I don't like ice in my drinks. I don't like how it melts and waters down my tea, Coke, or water. I almost always drink drinks at room temperature or hotter. Also, I have sensitive teeth, so anything colder just hurts.
  • I once went on an all-expenses-paid trip to LA, to compete in the Regeneron International Science Fair. I got to go walk around Universal Studios for hours after dark. And since there was no one else there besides others competing in the Science Fair I could get off and on rides within minutes. It was one of the most fun experiences I've ever had.

  • I once had a dog named Maggie that cut me with a can. She was a really needy dog, and she was hungry. We only had canned food at the time, and I was scooping it into her bowl. She was so impatient, she rammed her head into my hand holding the can. Consequently, my other hand was stabbed by the can. In the end I was fine, I just had to go to school that day with gauze intensely wrapped around my finger and explain to all my friends how I got hurt by my dog. Maggie was still a great dog, though.

  • For the longest time, I used to have right around shoulder-length hair. I just grew it out because I didn't know what I wanted to do with it. So now I have short hair, but still no idea what to do with it.
  • I love dogs so much that my dad will often take random photos of dogs he sees on trips around the world he goes on and send them to me.

Hey, Thanks for Reading

Welp, that's it from me. Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction, it really means a lot. I look forward to my next project. Have a good day!
