Mariah Carey is promoting her new single 'You're Mine (Eternal)' and she was asked how she feels about Ariana Grande, the big-voiced diva primed to step into her Louboutins, in an interview at The Breakfast Club Power 105.1.

Do we sense a Madonna vs. Lady Gaga-type feud brewing?

During this BTS-like footage, Mimi shared champagne and chocolates with the staff and was her typical diva self, and she was a consummate, supreme diva when she responded to the question about the up and comer who appears to be her heir apparent.

Essentially, Mimi ain't giving up the throne just yet.

While Grande has said that she is honored anytime she is compared to the singer, because, well, she's Mariah Carey, Mimi was not quite as diplomatic or supportive.

"First of all, I'm still young because I discount numbers. Numerically speaking, I stopped counting at 17," she said when asked about Grande's status as the "young Mariah."

She continued, "I wish everybody the best of luck and if this is the career path they choose, hopefully they can achieve."

When one of the hosts quoted Jay Z, who is offended when he gets compared to someone else, Mimi said, "Jay said a lot of things I agree with."

Point taken. While Mimi didn't diss Grande, she wasn't exactly showing the love. She threw a little shade.
