Lizzo Helps Feed Australian Wildfire Victims After Postponing Tour
In an act of pure humanitarianism, Lizzo postponed her tour while in Australia to help some the people affected by the wildfires. Instead of playing it safe, cancelling her shows, and leaving Australia, Lizzo volunteered at Melbourne’s Foodbank helping package food hampers for those who’ve been affected by the devastating fires.
The Melborne Foodbank Victoria has set up a page on its website where Lizzo fans can offer their support for the brushfire victims.
Other celebrities have joined in to help as well like Elton John and Chris Hemsworth who donated $1 million each to the newly created National Bushfire Recovery Agency as well as billionaire James Packer with $5 million, and singer Pink who donated $500,000 and comedian Celeste Barber who helped raise over $40 million through her fundraising page.
