Justin Bieber ‘Sorry’ Is a Winning, Dancehall-Inflected Apology
Justin Bieber continues to hold his conversation with an empty chair — first asking "Where Are U Now," then "What Do You Mean?" and, evidently upon receiving a proper explanation, "Sorry." But all joking aside: With his new Purpose track, Bieber is officially 3 for 3 in the "comeback singles" department.
The dancehall-influenced track sees Justin teaming up once again with "Where Are U Now co-producer Skrillex, as well as DJ-producer Bloodpop (formerly Blood Diamonds), who's best known for his "Go" collaboration with Grimes. Whether the album will be wall-to-wall dance tracks or if we'll get any R&Bieber burners like those on 2014's Journals remains to be seen, but we'll find out on November 13.
According to TMZ, the very fun "dance video" starring all-female New Zealand dance squads ReQuest and Royal Family Megacrew is just the first peek from a longer short film that will feature all 18 tracks from Justin's album. Like the "Sorry" visual, it'll be choreographed by Parris Goebel.
You can pre-order Purpose to own "Sorry" on iTunes here.
