Justin Bieber Designed Custom Engagement Ring With Hailey Baldwin’s ‘Beautifully-Shaped Hands’ in Mind
Justin Bieber was behind every step of designing the perfect engagement ring for his wife-to-be Hailey Baldwin, to whom the singer proposed in the Bahamas on July 7.
When the pop star realized it was time to propose to the love of his life, Bieber tapped private jeweler and Solow & Co businessman Jack Solow, with whom the 24-year-old detailed tailormade aspects of the sparkler he would subsequently present to Baldwin.
“Justin did have a hand in selecting the diamond because I sent videos to his team,” Solow told People. “I know him through [his manager] Scooter Braun. When it came time to find a ring, Justin asked Scooter and said, ‘I’m ready to pop the question’ and he said, ‘There is only one place to go, ask Jack.'”
A close friend Braun's father, Solow tells the outlet that the "Friends" singer wanted to make sure the custom-made bling would "gracefully accentuate Hailey's beautifully-shaped hands."
"We settled on an oval stone that was just exceptional in its length and grace," Solow said of the rock he was given a "few weeks" to perfect, which appraises between 6 to 10 carats. “Justin gave this a lot of thought. When I saw him, I think he was very happy about what we did together. He was in a very good head space for the decision he was making."
Days after the proposal announcement made headlines, the couple validated their engagement via social media on July 9.
Bieber celebrated the news via Instagram with an adorable snap of him and his fiancee, writing: "You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else. You make me so much better and we compliment each other so well!!"
Baldwin followed with a tweet: "Not sure what I did in life to deserve such happiness but I am so utterly grateful to God for giving me such an incredible person to share my life with!"
