Two Evansville police officers are being praised for their quick thinking and kindness after rescuing a kitten trapped in a storm drain. The moment played out on First Avenue near Walther’s Golf 'N Fun, bringing smiles to everyone who witnessed the unusual scene.

A Call For Help On A Busy Evansville Street

The area around Diamond and First Avenue is a very busy area, so to even see a little kitten that needed help was a little miracle.

Sarah Archibald shared that her husband, Bryan, who serves as an EVSC police officer, was the first to spot the tiny kitten stuck in the drain. He quickly realized the little one was in trouble and needed help fast. That’s when Evansville Police Officers Huff and Vires stepped in to save the day.
