Wild Summer Lights Is Lighting Up Mesker Park Zoo in Evansville, Indiana
If you haven't made it to Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden after dark yet, good news: you've still got time to catch Wild Summer Lights!
Presented by Liberty Federal Credit Union, Wild Summer Lights is turning the Zoo into a nighttime lantern trail through October 4, with more than a mile of Chinese lantern displays lighting the paths.
Already been? Then you know. What's the highlight for you: the giant animal lanterns, the live music, or hunting down the best food truck? Either way, there's still plenty of summer left to make a night of it.
And We've Got Your Chance to Go!
During The Barb Show today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., keep your ears open for the "wild animal cue-to-call." When you hear it, be ready to call! Be caller number 92, and you could win a family four-pack of tickets to Wild Summer Lights.
So crank up The Barb Show, keep an ear out, and keep your phone handy.
Here's what you'll be listening for!
More Than Just Pretty Lights
Wild Summer Lights also helps support the future of Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden. The event is a partnership between Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden, Tianyu Arts & Culture, Inc., and the Evansville Zoological Society. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Evansville Zoological Society puts all net proceeds back into the Zoo's mission: animal care, conservation, and education.
So while you're taking in the lanterns, music, and food trucks, you're also helping keep the Zoo and its animals thriving.
