Is it Better to be Single and Live in KC or STL?
Being single during the Holidays can be difficult. And apparently, if you live in one of the biggest cities in Missouri it can be much harder to be single, so which city is it, Kansas City or St. Louis?
According to Wallethub.com, it is worse to be single in Kansas City than it is in St. Louis, and by their data, it's MUCH worse...
WalletHub released their 2022's Best & Worst Cities for Singles, St. Louis lands at 45th on the list, meanwhile, Kansas City is wayyyyy down at 122nd on the list. On the site they say...
"To help America’s singles find love, WalletHub compared more than 180 U.S. cities across 36 key indicators of dating-friendliness. Our data set ranges from the share of the population that is single to the number of online dating opportunities to the average price for a two-person meal."
What could it be that separates Missouri's two largest cities when it comes to being better for singles? Well, the data says that St. Louis ranks 32nd in the country for Fun & Recreation, meanwhile, Kansas City ranks 103rd in that category and 123rd in the Dating Opportunities category.
The best cities for singles in 2022? Seattle, Madison (Wisconsin), and Denver. The worst cities for singles in 2022? Warwick (Rhode Island), Glendale (California), and Brownsville (Texas). To see the complete list of best and worst cities for singles for yourself just click here!
I feel like these rankings should take population into consideration more, bigger cities have to be better for singles. Personally, I am surprised that there is such a gap between KC and STL, are you?
