The Indianapolis Colts officially have their next franchise quarterback.

The Indianapolis Star reported on Thursday that after months of negotiations between the team and Andrew Luck's agent, Will Wilson (who is also his uncle), both sides had agreed to a fully guaranteed, four year deal worth $22.1 million which includes a $14.5 million signing bonus and the option of adding a fifth year should Luck be everything the team hopes he will be, or more.

A three day rookie camp begins Wednesday at the team's complex in Indy followed by training camp at Anderson University beginning July 28th. Only players under contract are allowed to be present at training camp. As it stands now Luck's teammate at Stanford, and second round pick in this year's draft, tight end Coby Fleener along with third round pick, tight end Dewayne Allen have yet to agree to contract terms, however Colts vice president, Dan Emerson tells the Indianapolis Star the team is "confident we’ll get those done in due course without any interruption of practice time."

I don't know about you, but I am excited for the upcoming season. It can't get here soon enough. Yes, Peyton Manning is gone, along with most of the familiar faces we're used to seeing take the field every Sunday in the Fall, and I don't expect this season to be pretty, but getting to watch this new version of the Colts grow will be fun to watch.
