Andrew Luck Bringing Traveling “Change The Play” Program to Evansville on Wednesday
The face of the Indianapolis Colts, Andrew Luck, will be in Evansville Wednesday afternoon when his travelling "Change the Play" youth camp stops at Arad McCutchan Stadium on the University of Evansville campus at 12:30 p.m.
The camp is a partnership with Riley's Children's Hospital (which has a satellite clinic at Deaconess Gateway Hospital locally), and is making its way all across the state of Indiana, stopping in South Bend on Monday, Evansville on Wednesday, and Fort Wayne later this week.
The camp is open to kids between the ages of five and 13 and focuses less on football, and more on proper techniques for a healthy lifestyle including excercise, healthy eating, and having fun.
However, it's not completely devoid of football. During the session in South Bend on Monday, campers were given the opportunity to catch a pass from the Colts QB at one of the stations.
Unfortunately, registration for the camp is closed. However, the program does offer an online Kids Club that provides children fun, monthly activities for living a healthier lifestyle, as well as an eight week challenge program where kids complete a checklist of activities designed to keep them physically active. You can learn more about both on the IU Health website.
