Couple Wants to Help People in Need Feel Loved at Christmas

When you get older, it should be a time to enjoy your life after you have spent a lifetime working so hard. But, for too many, the silver years are a lonely and isolated time, especially during the holidays.

I see it when I go visit my dad at the assisted living facility where he lives. Many of the residents have relatives that live far away or are too busy to visit on a regular basis.

Thanks to an Evansville, Indiana woman, an assisted living facility will have a Christmas of gifts and love that everyone deserves.

My friends, Della and Mistie shared a heartbreaking story of local need and loneliness. Now, they need your help.

They are asking the generous people in the Tristate to help them make some beautiful people who feel forgotten, feel loved.

When I talked to Della last year, she explained to me the reason that she decided to take on this giving project.

My mom has been at Wyndmoor for a year. After she broke her spine during covid. My mom Chris is the current Resident Council President and calls BINGO. My mom has been calling BINGO her entire stay, it was a few days ago I learned the main reason she still calls bingo is because the residents who play win prizes. I hadn't given it much thought. My mom then told me that she calls Bingo because the residents look forward to the prizes. She informed me they would win Soap, TP, or snacks they otherwise can not afford on their fixed incomes.

This year she and Mistie are generously doing it again. Here is a complete list of items needed and how you can help.
