Helping New Parents: Put Together a Snack Basket
It has been seven and a half years since I've had the privilege of being a new mom. But, I remember that it's a trying time. There were lots of late nights and stressful days. One of the things that was helpful during those first few weeks was having a stocked pantry. My husband does a pretty good job at grocery shopping but when it comes to snacks, if it's not a corn chip then it's probably not coming home with him. I prefer healthy snacks that I can feel good about eating. So, when my mother-in-law brought over a snack basket, I was elated.
When I make these for friends and family who are new parents or are home bound for medical reasons, I want to make great choices that they'll enjoy but I just don't have time to go meander around the store for hours. I made one of these baskets for a friend in the hospital yesterday. I chose to order from Target because you can order online and drive up to pick it up. If you choose the drive up option, you don't even have to get out of your car! It took me about 15 minutes to find everything on my app and five minutes to grab my bags and go.
