It's time to do some spring cleaning and get rid of those things you no longer use, or can no longer wear, taking up space in your basement, attic, closets, etc. Once you've decided on what goes, consider donating them to the upcoming Rummage Sale to benefit Evansville's Aurora, Inc., a local charity dedicated to ending homelessness in our community.

Taking place over a two day period, Friday, May 17th from 7am-12pm, then from 4-7pm, and again on Saturday, May 18th from 7am-1pm, at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center at 311 Chestnut Street in downtown Evansville, the organization is currently accepting gently used items including clothing, accessories, toys, home decor, and more to sell during the event.

All donations can be dropped off at Aurora's office at 1100 Lincoln Avenue in Evansville, and are tax deductible. All the money raised will benefit Aurora's mission of providing services to the homeless, educating the public on homelessness in our area, and ultimately preventing homelessness.

The group is also seeking volunteers to man the rummage sale. For more information, call 812-428-3246, or e-mail bealight@auroraevansville.com.
