Is your child ready for their close-up?

Evansville PBS affiliate, WNIN is currently accepting video auditions for children interested in appearing on the popular children's show, Camp TV. In case you're not familiar with the show, each episode is staged like a day at a summer camp. There's a specific theme and "camp counselor" (host) that takes the "campers" (the kids watching at home) through a variety of different activities centered around the theme. Episode themes include Magic Day, Sports Day, Celebrate Your Name Day, Mustache Day, and more with each episode featuring different segments centered around whatever the theme happens to be. Each episode also includes a segment called, "Tell Me a Story" where a "camper" reads one of their favorite children's books to the other campers.

The show is currently looking for campers to appear in episodes this summer, one of which will be from right here in the Tri-State.

How to Submit Your Child for Consideration to Be on Camp TV

If your child is interested in being on the show, all you need to do is film them reading a book out loud. The only people who will see this video will be representatives of WNIN, so audio and video quality won't matter. What they'll be looking at is how comfortable your child is on camera and their reading ability. Once your video is complete, upload it along with your name, your child's name, and your contact information to the WNIN website.

If representatives think your child has everything they're looking for, you'll be invited to bring them to the WNIN studios in downtown Evansville sometime during the week of April 10th to film their segment. Once filming and editing are finished, WNIN will send the video to the Camp TV producers to be included in a future episode sometime this summer.

For the complete guidelines and the link to upload your video, visit the WNIN website.
